The Ice Cream Trio is hanging at an ice cream shop.
Three paintings named after desserts finally found the wall they were meant for. Egg Tart, Ube, and Matcha Cookie are now on view at The Cookie Bar, an ice cream and cookie shop on Webster Street in Alameda, California.
The three canvases went up together this July, side by side on the shop’s warm wood-paneled wall — just above the checkerboard floor, a few feet from the neon cone. It’s hard to imagine a better room for them.
